FORCED CIRCULATION SYSTEM (HIGH PRESSURE)

In forced circulation systems (high pressure), there is no need for the storage tank to be exposed above the collector; it can be lower than the level of the collector. Similarly, the water supply (plastic tank) in the solar system kit does not need to be at a higher level. Thus, hot water from the collectors does not flow naturally to the storage tank due to gravity, but is assisted by a pump (forced circulation).

THERMOSIFONIC SYSTEM (LOW PRESSURE)

At Thermosifonic system (low pressure), we refer to hot water circulation using natural flow. In solar water heaters, hot water goes to the storage tank, following the rule of physics (gravity), which states that mass of hot water is lighter and thus tends to rise above the mass of cold water, which is heavier.

Therefore, hot water flows to the storage tank, which for this reason is located higher than the collectors. This movement of water occurs throughout the day.
